FAQs

  • Nope. What we offer is tailored to parents. This isn't a curriculum that you teach to your kids, it’s a series of courses that you study to improve your approach to teaching.

  • Yes, but also no. While we don’t set out to tell anyone what to do or how to do it, we do seek to educate each parent so that you can confidently make informed decisions about your approach to your child’s education. We take you through step by step reflections and planning processes that will help you plan and prepare for all aspects of your homeschooling experience. This includes setting up the physical spaces you will use, preparing resources and materials, selecting your methodologies and approach, responding to your child’s unique needs, and regularly reflecting and adapting as needed to ensure you remain responsive to your child.

  • Good. You shouldn’t. I mean, unless you really want to. Our goal is not to tell you or anyone else what to do or how to approach your child’s education. What we do offer, however, is a chance to become better acquainted with educational principles and best practices so that you can make informed decisions about your child’s education.

  • Yes. Our courses cover a broad range of topics, with additional links to external articles and videos that will deepen the understanding of even the most seasoned homeschooler. We also have modules that involve self-reflection to allow you to assess where you are, what goals you have for your child, and how to adapt and move forward to most effectively reach those goals.

  • Yes. We carefully designed our parent courses to make sense and provide enough clear explanations and context to support even the most inexperienced homeschool parent. We should know, Amber was only a year into her experience when we designed them.

  • You don’t. What our courses offer, however, is education. We aren’t interested in telling you what to do, we are interested in helping you better understand the educational concepts and best practices that you have to work with. The more informed you are, the more effectively you can approach your child’s education.

  • We offer the most comprehensive training available to homeschool parents. We also offer the most user-friendly courses available. Everything is presented in three forms: eBook, printable PDF, and video. You choose what and how you study, and because your one-time payment gives you lifetime access, you can take as long as you like to study the material.

  • Sure can. In fact, you can go to our website, look at all the topics we cover, and Google them one by one. You can then pour through the hundreds of videos, websites, articles, books, and blogs you will find there and filter out what seems useful and what doesn’t apply to homeschooling. Also, be sure to take detailed notes on what you study for later reference. Or you can pay a one-time fee to gain access to all of our courses in one convenient digital library. It’s your call.

  • The foundational courses we offer are divided into three overarching areas: Structures, Systems, and Strategies. You can find a detailed summary of what’s included in each of these courses on the “Parent Courses” section of our website.

The topics we explore aren’t based on any particular approach, and most of what we cover can be applied within any approach. You will ultimately decide what that looks like for you and your child.

  • We're not offering that kind of teacher training. We focus on time-tested educational concepts and best practices that will support any learner in any setting, with adaptations to make sense for homeschooling where needed. You can of course add your own ideological indoctrination on your own.

  • We agree that school is often boring. Education, however, is not. Or at the very least it doesn’t have to be! Our courses are designed with individual learning styles and preferences in mind. We practice what we preach. Every course is available in all three of the following formats: eBook, printable PDF, and video.

We also leverage humor, examples, stories, quotes, pictures, graphs, animations, music, narrations, graphic organizers, reflection activities, open-ended questions, and many more aspects of quality teaching to help you engage with, understand, retain, and apply the information we present. The only way our courses can be boring is if you study them with Ben Stein (No offense, Ben).
